Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee dazzled as Manchester United cruised to a 4-0 win over Everton, marking Ruben Amorim’s Premier League debut as manager at Old Trafford in style.
Rashford opened the scoring in the 34th minute, capitalizing on a deflected Bruno Fernandes corner that bounced off Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite before volleying it home.
United continued to dominate, with Zirkzee adding the second just seven minutes later.
Amad Diallo intercepted a goal kick and quickly fed Fernandes, whose pinpoint cross found Zirkzee for a composed finish. The home crowd erupted in cheers, singing Amorim’s name as United took full control heading into half-time.
Seconds after the restart, Rashford struck again. Amad’s perfectly timed through ball set him up to slot past the keeper, extending United’s lead.
The Ivorian winger continued his relentless pressing, dispossessing James Tarkowski in the 64th minute and setting up Zirkzee for his brace.
The emphatic victory lifted United to ninth in the standings, while Everton’s struggles continued, leaving them 15th and hovering near the relegation zone.
Elsewhere, Fulham snatched a 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur, thanks to a late equaliser from Tom Cairney.
Brennan Johnson had given Spurs the lead in the 54th minute with a well-taken volley, but Cairney responded in the 67th, curling in a brilliant shot to level the game.
His evening ended on a sour note, however, after receiving a red card for a late challenge on Dejan Kulusevski.
Despite Spurs piling on the pressure, Fulham held on to secure a crucial point, climbing to 10th with 19 points. Tottenham moved up to seventh with 20 points, just three behind fourth-placed Brighton.
