Super Eagles stars, Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi featured as Nottingham Forest suffered a 3-0 defeat against Manchester City in Wednesday’s Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium.
Aina, who has found the net once this season, played the full 90 minutes, marking his 14th appearance for Forest.
Awoniyi, making his 10th appearance, entered the game in the 62nd minute, replacing Chris Wood.
Manchester City secured the win with first-half goals from Bernardo Silva and captain Kevin De Bruyne.
Jeremy Doku added a stunning solo effort after the break, capping off an impressive performance that delighted the home crowd.
With the victory, City climbed back into the top four, narrowing the gap to nine points behind Liverpool following their thrilling 3-3 draw at Newcastle. The loss leaves Forest in sixth place, now four points adrift of the Champions League spots.
