The draw for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup took place on Thursday night in Miami, United States, conducted by Juventus and Italy legend Alessandro Del Piero.
Set to take place in the U.S from June 15 to July 13, 2025, the tournament will feature 32 clubs from around the world, competing for the prestigious title of world champions.
The draw included all 32 qualified teams from AFC, CAF, Concacaf, OFC, and UEFA, divided into groups of four. To maintain balance, the event ensured that no group contained more than one team from the same confederation, except for UEFA.
Furthermore, teams from the same country, such as Chelsea and Manchester City or Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid, could not be placed in the same group.
Among the standout teams in the 2025 competition are UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid from Spain, Botafogo from Brazil, who claimed the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores, and Al Ahly from Egypt, who have won three of the last four CAF Champions League titles.
The European teams have been allocated 12 spots, while South America has six. Most expect the winner to emerge from one of these continents, with four teams each from Asia, Africa, and North America, and just one representative from Oceania.
Here’s a look at the complete groupings for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup:
Group A: Palmeiras (BRA); Porto (POR); Al Ahly (EGY); Inter Miami (USA)
Group B: Paris Saint-Germain (FRA); Atletico Madrid (ESP); Botafogo (BRA); Seattle Sounders (USA)
Group C: Bayern Munich (GER); Auckland City (NZL); Boca Juniors (ARG); Benfica (POR)
Group D: Flamengo (BRA); Esperance de Tunis (TUN); Chelsea (ENG); Leon (MEX)

For the first time in the tournament’s 24-year history, 32 clubs will compete in the Club World Cup, adopting the same format used in the World Cup, which is contested by nations.
Previously, the Club World Cup featured six to eight teams, but this new format will make it the largest edition in the competition’s history.
The teams were determined by the winners of each continent’s top club competition, like the Champions League, and the confederation’s four-year rankings.
While the overall layout is now confirmed, the full match schedule is still to be released.
The tournament will kick off with the opening match at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on June 15, 2025, and the final is set for July 13, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in New York-New Jersey.
