The Country Manager of EgyptAir in Nigeria, Amr Basha, has appealed to Nigerian travel agents to play an active role in promoting Egypt as a prime tourist destination.
In a statement, he emphasized the airline’s efforts to engage strategically with travel agents across the country to boost the visibility of Egypt as a versatile travel hotspot.
“We invite you as our travel agents to highlight Egypt’s diverse offerings, which cater to a wide range of travelers—from beach resorts to medical tourism, historical landmarks, and cultural experiences. EgyptAir, in partnership with our GSA, Elite Tours, is launching an array of affordable tour packages designed to meet the varied needs of different types of travelers,” Basha stated.
Further elaborating on EgyptAir’s extensive offerings, the airline’s Sales Executive, Faith Obazee, provided an in-depth overview of the airline’s fleet, services, and new routes.
She also highlighted the airline’s value proposition, which includes exclusive benefits for passengers through its frequent flyer programs, codeshare agreements, and interline services with esteemed global airline partners.
EgyptAir’s Station Manager, Mohammed Afifi, addressed health concerns raised by travelers, particularly the Yellow Fever vaccination requirement for passengers traveling to Egypt or transiting through EgyptAir for 12 hours or more.
He underlined the significance of adhering to necessary health precautions and reassured that passenger safety remains the airline’s top priority.
Basha took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the travel agents for their continued partnership.
He praised their critical role in driving sales and enhancing service quality, stressing that their collaboration is integral to EgyptAir’s expansion and success in the Nigerian market.
Highlighting Egypt’s top tourism spots, Basha presented Egypt’s premier attractions, including the Dream Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, the ancient Pyramids of Giza, and the stunning cities of Aswan and Hurghada.
He also encouraged adventure-seekers to explore thrilling activities such as boat cruises and quad biking, offering a mix of relaxation and adrenaline.
As a gesture of appreciation, EgyptAir honoured a select group of travel agents who excelled in their performance during the 2023/2024 period, celebrating their contribution to the airline’s success.
This event underscored the airline’s continued commitment to strengthening its relationships with local travel agents and expanding its footprint in the Nigerian tourism market.
