A fire outbreak early Monday morning reportedly engulfed a market in Trademore Estate, a prominent residential area near the Umar Musa Yar’Adua Airport Road in Abuja.
Although the exact cause of the fire remains unclear, a resident identified as Joe recounted how he became aware of the incident around 4 a.m.
“We do not yet know the cause of the fire, but we cannot rule out an electrical issue,” Joe explained.
“We are trying to reach both the Federal Fire Service and the Federal Capital Territory FCT Fire Service. The situation is tense.”
Residents eventually managed to contact the fire service stationed at Dunamis Church, with firefighters arriving at the scene around 5 a.m.
